This page lists all the compilation LP's for sale. These were mostly put out in the 80s by labels such as Kent and Inferno, later LP compilations came from Goldmine (now Goldsoul).

	Artist: Various Title: Mecca Magic Label: Kent 090 Comments: Kent compilation from 1990 featuring tunes played at the famous Blackpool Mecca. 	Artist: Various Title: The Magic Touch Label: Kent 057 Comments: A 1986 compilation and about one of the best from Kent. This one features a good mix of uptempo, mid-tempo and ballads and has the bonus of a couple of previously unissued tracks. 	Artist: Various Title: Club Soul Label: Kent 022 Comments: One of the earlier Kent compilations, from 1984. Features tracks from the Wand and Scepter labels including Chuck Jackson's "Hand It Over" and "Two Stupid Feet", "The Moods - Rainmaker", "Brenton Wood - Mr Schemer" and of course the featured track "Jack Montgomery - Dearly Beloved". 	Artist: Various Title: Richard Searling Presents 100% Casino Label: Goldmine 104 Comments: An 1998 compilation featuring mostly Detroit Northern Soul tracks that were big at Wigan Casino. Includes Larry Clinton, Cecil Washington, Eddie Holman, The Professionals, Ernest Moseley, The Dynamics, etc, etc. 20 fabulous tracks to be honest. 	Artist: Various Title: Kentstax Label: Kent 095 Comments: An 1989 compilation from the excellent Kent records which includes tracks from the Volt/Stax stable of labels. Tracks include "Darrell Banks - I'm The One Who Loves You", "Margie Joseph - One More Chance" and the featured classic "J.J. Barnes - Sweet Sherry". 	Artist: Various Title: Fizzy Soul Cocktail Label: Cheeky Monkey 001 Comments: An odd compilation from the 90's, this is probably a privately press rather than legitimate issue. Rumour has it that the compiler borrowed a number of rare records on the pretence of possibly buying them, then cut this LP from the records. It's an odd mix of soul and funk. 	Artist: Various Title: Soul Power - 16 Original Hits from the U.S.A Label: German Probe 815 Comments: German compilation featuring tracks from the Four Tops, Chuck Jackson, Charles Mann (inc "It's All Over"), Nolan Porter (inc "If I Could Only Be Sure"), Lamont Dozier and others. 	Artist: Various Title: The Stax Soul Brothers Label: Fantasy/Stax 57 Comments: An 1988 compilation of great Stax soul tunes which includes "John Gary Williams - The Whole Damn World Is Going Crazy". 	Artist: Various Title: Motor City Roots (The Roots of Detroit Soul) Label: Stateside 6009 Comments: A 1986 compilation featuring early two Detroit soul acts; Marv Johnson & The Falcons. 	Artist: Various Title: Okeh Soul Label: Epic 37323 Comments: 1982 compilation double LP chronicling Chicago soul mainly from the Okeh label and artists recording on it. Artists are Major Lance, Billy Butler & The Enchanters, Walter Jackson, The Opals, The Artistics and The Vibrations. A mix of Northern Soul sides and others. 	Artist: Various Title: Lost Soul Label: Epic 22153 Comments: Another 80's compilation double LP crammed full of great tracks from not quite mainstream artists such as Don Covay (on the cover), ZZ Hill, Laura Lee, The Staple Singers and others. 	Artist: Various Title: Chicago Soul Uprising Label: Charly 1160 Comments: One of the many excellent compilations to come out of Charly R&B, this is made up of tracks from the Brunswick record label. 	Artist: Various Title: For Dancers Only Label: Kent 001 Comments: The first of the magnificent Kent compilations to appear, this consists of tracks from the Kent & Modern labels including "Danny Monday - Baby, Without You", "Jackie Day - Before It's Too Late" & "Lowell Fulsom - My Aching Back". 	Artist: Various Title: Sweet Soul Music - The Stax Groups Label: Fantasy 71 Comments: South African sweet soul compilation from 1988 featuring tracks from the Stax label, includes groups such as The Dramatics, The Mad Lads, The Epsilons and Ollie and The Nightingales. 	Artist: Various Title: Stompers Label: Kent 017 Comments: Exactly what it says on the cover - jam packed full of Northern Soul stompers! Tracks include "Ritchie Adams - I Can't Escape From You", "7th Avenue Aviators - You Should O' Held On" & "Rubin - You've Ben Away". Also included is Len Barry's version of "I'll Always Need You" which was cut for a never released LP of which 2 or 3 unsleeved copies are said to exist. 	Artist: Various Title: Up All Night Label: Charly 5028 Comments: A 1990 double LP compilation from Dave Flynn. A great selection of classic Northern Soul without being cheesy. 	Artist: Various Title: Up All Night 2 Label: Charly 500 Comments: The second double LP in this series published in 1993. Another fantastic collection of classics but not the obvious ones.
